KSR Group, Aluminium Window and Door Installers in Gauteng
KSR Group installs aluminium windows and doors for homes and businesses across Gauteng. This is our main trade. It is what we spend most of our time doing and what we have built our name on. Everything else we offer, roofing, plumbing, electrical, painting, awnings, supports the main job of finishing a property properly, but aluminium installation is where our skill sits.
We work with homeowners building new houses, homeowners renovating old ones, property developers, architects, and businesses fitting out offices, shops and warehouses.
What Aluminium Window and Door Installation Involves
Aluminium windows and doors are frames made from aluminium metal instead of wood, steel or PVC. The frame holds the glass in place and lets the window or door open, close and lock. Aluminium does not rust, does not rot or swell, is strong for its weight, and needs almost no maintenance. These four facts are the entire reason aluminium has become the standard choice for new builds and renovations in South Africa.
We measure the opening, order the correct profile and glass thickness for that opening, and install the frame so it is square, level and sealed against water and air. A frame that is not perfectly level will bind, leak or fail to lock properly within a year. This is the part of the job that separates a good installer from a bad one, and it is where most complaints about aluminium installations actually come from.
We measure on site, quote based on the actual opening sizes and glass specification, clear, tinted, or safety glass where required by building regulation, such as near a pool or a shower, and install once the frames are manufactured. Manufacturing typically takes a few weeks depending on the size and complexity of the order.
For commercial and corporate clients we can quote from architectural drawings, not just a site visit, and coordinate installation with the build programme so the aluminium goes in at the right stage of construction, not too early and not too late.
How Our Aluminium Installation Process Works
Site measure first. Every opening is measured on site, because actual openings on a built structure are rarely exactly what the plan says. Then a quote and specification based on the profile type, glass thickness, and finish you choose. Frames are custom manufactured to the measured sizes, not stock items off a shelf.
On installation day, frames are fitted, levelled and sealed, with old frames removed first if it is a replacement. Before we consider the job done, we check every opening, moving part and seal.
